Will be held at the Sheraton New Orleans, February 24-27, 2008. Theme for the Annual Meeting is "Multiple Realities in Teacher Education: Exemplars that Address Dilemmas, Conundrums, and Processes.
Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI)
NCATE adopts the 2007 revised ACEI standards, incorporating the five essential components of reading into their new NCATE program standards. These standards reflect what elementary teachers are expected to know and be able to do when teaching in the classroom. Institutions who prepare elementary teachers should use these standards to develop and implement their teacher education programs.
